Align Pilates Combo Chair III

The Combo Chair III is the third generation of Align Pilates’ take on Joseph Pilates’ wunda chair, and the upgrades target the two things instructors notice most in a chair: noise and pedal feel. A redesigned locking slider joins or splits the pedals in seconds, the pedal axle now runs on roller bearings, the spring hooks are rubber-coated to kill clatter, and the spring tree is chromed steel.

The frame is steel with maple-veneered marine ply, and resistance comes from four nickel-plated Korean music wire springs, two strong and two extra strong, each with four positions on the tree. At 32.5″ deep by 21.7″ wide (82.5 × 55 cm) it has the smallest footprint of any full apparatus in the Align line, so it works in homes as well as studios, and cut-out sides keep the springs reachable even with the chair against a wall.
